ArtSong is a unique music composition tool for Windows PCs. ArtSong?
combines algorithmic composition techniques with computer-aided composition support
to help you achieve greater expressivity while maintaining creative control over
your compositions.
ArtSong is a new way to compose music. ArtSong replaces traditional
music notation with a rich and growing set of algorithmic 'building- blocks' that
specify musical structures in a completely new way.
ArtSong is pure algorithmic with no hidden pre-composed musical
sequences. Music decisions are under your control; you configure the algorithmic
'building-blocks' and specify their properties. ArtSong's composition engine implements
your composition decisions. The result is your original work.
ArtSong is a great tool for composing fractal music. ArtSong
provides algorithms for chaotic attractors, fractal images, and L- System strings.
ArtSong saves compositions in standard MIDI format, a simple CSound score format, and proprietary project files.
