MPNews PRO RSS template - This template for the MPNews PRO news server (available separately) changes the web interface to produce the message list in RSS format. This allows other web sites to syndicate your messages, in the same way as blogs.

If you want to allow other web sites to "syndicate" your news articles, or quickly integrate your news groups into your web site home page, this template is for you. The message list is presented in machine-readable RSS format, which can be used by a number of other applications and scripts ("aggregators"). These aggregators can then produce a list of recent messages on your web site, or the data can be used for any number of other purposes. RSS scripts are available for PHP, Perl and most other popular web scripting languages, and you can even get a plugin for Outlook that will let you read RSS feeds directly on your computer. After selecting a message to read, the contents of the message are displayed in the same style as the default template.

The RSS format is commonly used by "blogs" and news web sites. It allows your regular readers to incorporate the actual contents of your news groups into their web pages, instead of or as well as a regular link.
