AimingClick

AimingClick is a software tool to query online search services for words you select in any Windows application. It links you to more than 80 search engines, directories, news sites, online dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc.

Search box
To search information about a word or phrase of your interest: select this word or phrase in the application you working with, hit the hot-key (Ctrl+Right click or Ctrl+F1) and chose a site in the appeared Search box. Your Web browser will open a search result page of the chosen site matching your query. In this case you do not need to type a search query. AimingClick catches words from applications.

You can use the Search box without selecting any words: double click on AimingClick tray menu to open Search Box, type a search query in the Combo box or select it from most recently used searches that are provided by the Combo box list and click a search site you want to request.

By default (just after installation) the hot keys to open the Search box are Ctrl+Right mouse click and Ctrl+F1. You can change these keys and enable/disable them in the program Options. You can choose sites listed in the search box by from more than 80 links provided with the program.

Favorite site search
You can assign a Favorite site to search it directly by one mouse click or keystroke. By default the favorite site is Google Web Search. You can change this setting in the program Options. To search the Favorite site for information about a word or phrase: select this word or phrase in the application you working with and hit the hot-key to search the Favorite site (Ctrl+Shift+Left click or Ctrl+F2). Your Web browser will open a search result page of the chosen site matching your query.

By default the hot keys to search the Favorite site are Ctrl+Shift+Left mouse click and Ctrl+F2. You have options to change this hot-keys and to enable/disable them.
